What We Do

Specialist Dental Laboratory Serving Professionals

At A P Edwards Laboratory, We manufacture premium removable prosthetic appliances for dental professionals across Australia, entirely in-house, with no outsourcing and no compromise on quality.

From cast partial frameworks to implant-supported overdentures, every appliance is crafted by our experienced, registered dental technicians in our Hampton, Melbourne laboratory. We work from your prescriptions, support your complex cases, and deliver consistently — so your patients get the best, every time.

Our Services

Everything we manufacture is made entirely in our own laboratory. From cast partial frameworks to implant-supported prosthetics, A P Edwards Laboratory delivers consistent quality on every case.

Full & Partial Denture Prosthetics

We manufacture complete and partial dentures to the highest standard of fit, function, and aesthetics. Our technicians work from your prescriptions to deliver prosthetics that restore confidence and comfort for your patients — every time.

Thermoformed appliances

Our thermoformed appliances are fabricated using quality materials for precise, comfortable fit. Suitable for occlusal splints, mouthguards, and bleaching trays, each appliance is manufactured in-house and finished to clinical specification.

Casting Partial Frameworks

Cast partial denture frameworks are our core specialisation — the craft we've dedicated over 40 years to perfecting. We produce cobalt-chromium frameworks with exceptional accuracy, clean finish, and reliable fit. Complex cases and treatment planning support are available.

Aesthetic customisations

Achieving natural aesthetics in removable prosthetics requires skill and an eye for detail. Our technicians provide custom characterisation, gingival staining, and tooth selection consultations to help you achieve the best possible aesthetic outcome for your patients.

Implant retained dentures

We manufacture implant-supported removable prosthetics including bar-retained and locator-retained overdentures. We work closely with prescribing clinicians to ensure the appliance integrates with the planned implant system and delivers long-term clinical performance.

Repairs and additions

We provide fast, reliable repairs and additions for existing removable prostheses — including tooth additions, clasp repairs, base relines, and full-arch repairs. Turnaround is prioritised for repair cases to minimise disruption to your patients.

How do I scan free end saddles?

Scanning free end saddles requires careful technique to capture adequate support zone extension. We recommend using a light-body impression material over the scan to extend the
border, or alternatively sending a conventional impression for free end cases. Contact us before
your first digital case and we’ll walk you through our preferred workflow.
